If travel is said to broaden the mind, then why limit your travel to only the road?

Scotland has a vast network of historic tracks and trails that travel through some
of the most spectacular landscape in the world. Home to iconic wildlife such as Red Deer,
Mountain Hare, Ptarmigan and Golden Eagle and more often than not,
only accessible to the serious hill walker
or private land owner.

Scotland leads the way in the world with open responsible access to its wild and remote landscapes, mountians, rivers, lochs and wildlife for walkers, climbers,
kayakers and mountain bikers. However access by motorised vehicles is much more exclusive and only possible with the permission of those who own these amazing areas.
.

Over the past decade, 4x4 Tours Scotland have worked closely with
private land owners and estates to agree motorised access to
more than 500,000 acres of private land.

With routes that start from the Scottish borders, through the central belt
towards the Scottish Highlands and on to Sutherland and the famous North Coast 500 in the north,
4x4 Tours Scotland have access to miles of private and exclusive off road track, taking you from sea level
to over 3000 feet into the Cairngorm Mountains.
Our guided 4x4 tours are fully supported and will lead you
in to a truly wild and inspiring landscape.
Our off road driving specialists will help you get the most out of your vehicle
and the whole wilderness tour experience. Our extensive local knowledge will bring the landscape to life as we introduce you to the land, the wildlife and the people who call these remote areas of the Scottish Highlands their home.

All of our tours are focused on getting you and your vehicle off the beaten track and out in to the wild lands of Scotland, with each estate offering it’s own unique driving experience, landscape and outstanding views,
as well as the opportunity to partake in estate activities.
Fishing, clay pigeon shooting, wildlife safaris,
visiting the homes and gardens of the Laird and Lady,
enjoying the best of local produce with even a whisky or gin distillery tour to end the day.

Travel along the West coast, climbing high in to the hills while taking in the views across the Highlands and islands, venture inland in to the breath taking landscape and geology of Assynt in North West Sutherland, whose three billion year old rock formations and distinctive mountains are some of the oldest in the world. Or climb high in to the Cairngorms to the grouse moors, home to golden eagle, red deer and artic hare .

4x4 Tours Scotland has secured unrivalled access to private land throughout Scotland, with a network of tracks extending over hundreds of miles taking our visitors into seldom travelled areas.
Our tours are exclusive to our groups, a maximum of six vehicles, no traffic, no conflict, just you, your vehicle and the landscape and wildlife.
We look to drive a minimum of 15 to 20 miles of unbroken off road routes each day, we have different routes to suit differing vehicles and ability and allow for relaxed driving to take it all in and immerse yourself in this incredible land.
